A bespoke creation with timeless appeal.

BVIA on Bank’s sophisticated sculptural form makes a glamorous contribution to the South Melbourne streetscape. Responding to its heritage surrounds and the rich history of the site, the curved façade creates an elegant curtain behind the corner’s iconic star - the remarkable original ES&A bank.

  • Glamorous Workspaces

BVIA on Bank offers expansive, well-planned floorplates that showcase uninterrupted views to the south, west and east.

High ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and thoughtful copper highlights create a luxurious, welcoming environment bathed in natural light. Features including contactless doors, automated lighting and sensor-activated tapware support a best-in-class approach to sustainability and health and safety.

  • Premium End-Of-Trip Facilities

Outstanding end-of-trip facilities provide a luxurious private domain for those walking, running or cycling to work.

This glamourous, textural space features high-end Zuster vanities and bespoke tapware and door handles. Three spacious showers in each male and female bathroom are complemented by conveniences including smart lockers and hairdryers.

  • An Iconic Local Landmark Reimagined

Built in 1880 to the design of leading architectural firm, Terry and Oakden, the English, Scottish and Australian Chartered Bank building on South Melbourne’s Clarendon Street is a commanding essay in the Gothic Revival style.

Pointed windows, Hawthorn brickwork, decorative masonry and granite colonettes are topped by a steeply pitched slate roof, providing a sense of grandeur and history.

  • Reviving Rich History

The development has captured history and features from both the heritage building and family history encompassing them in the architectural design of BVIA.

The patterns in the new building have been designed by Elliat Rich, are well recognised artist and are symbolic of the family's working history – an architectural interpretation of the craftsmanship, materiality and detailing of shoe construction.
